Pop-up bonfire and nature picnics with Estonian food

Hi, my name is Elen..

Hello, my name is Elen, and I invite you to a one-of-a-kind culinary and nature experience in Estonia. From spring to the end of summer, I organize flower and nature picnics, and in autumn and winter, cozy bonfire picnics!

From spring through late summer, I host floral and nature-inspired picnics; in autumn and winter, intimate forest and campfire picnics — always in locations where nature feels untouched and time slows down.

The picnic table itself is an experience. Every detail has its own story. Not a single item has been bought new from a store — everything has been carefully and gradually sourced second-hand. This is a conscious choice to reduce unnecessary consumption and to keep objects in circulation for as long as they can live out their story. All decorations, tableware, and textiles are reused, found from second-hand and vintage shop or handmade, making each picnic unique and fairy-tale-like.

Allow yourself a truly special moment in nature. Write to me, and let me set a table for you in the heart of Estonia’s nature — palce where time stands still.

Location

My autumn–winter pop-up campfire picnics take you to some of West-Estonia`s (Pärnu County) most beautiful locations: Soomaa National Park, Kabli and Matsi beaches, the edge of Tolkuse bog, or the shores of Lake Rae. I set a beautifully styled table, light the fire, place a pot over the flames, and prepare something special — a dish you might not usually cook or enjoy at home.
Spring and summer flower and nature picnics take place in Pärnumaa’s parks and scenic landscapes — in the manor parks of Tõstamaa, Are, and Audru, as well as the Nedrema wooded meadow. Come and weave dandelion crowns, and enjoy unhurried, quality time with the people you love, surrounded by Estonia’s meadow and wildflowers.
Why not book a birthday picnic at the edge of a bog as the morning sun rises? I’ll serve fresh coffee, sandwiches, and pancakes while you take a refreshing swim in a bog lake. Upon request, you can also add an art suitcase and easels and enjoy a painting session in the middle of nature — or, why not, with your feet in the sea.

Menue

My picnic menu is inspired by the flavours and nature of Estonia. I use as much local produce as possible, carrying the charm of our land’s simplicity, honesty, and seasonality. I consciously support small producers from Estonia and Pärnu, and I am a forager at heart — many of the preserves are made by me, such as meadowsweet syrup, mint tea, wild garlic pesto, and forest mushrooms. In summer, I create cakes decorated with flowers and berries. The flowers are grown or foraged by me, and the berries come straight from my home garden.
There is no fixed menu — each one is created in collaboration with the client, taking into account personal preferences and dietary requirements. Some client favourites have emerged over time, including spruce panna cotta, nettle cake, barley porridge, local  Estonia fish pie, and buckwheat salad. Or perhaps you’d prefer to be surprised, discovering the menu only once you sit down at the table? 🙂
The story behind my picnics is built on conscious choices — using local ingredients and supporting small Estonian businesses. This creates value both in quality and in community, and is reflected in my pricing, as local, domestic ingredients are of higher quality, free from preservatives, and produced with care, heart, and love.

Price

At the moment, I can host a fully equipped picnic for up to 12 people — that’s exactly how many complete sets of second-hand tableware I’ve managed to collect so far 🙂 For lighter catering, I can accommodate groups of up to 20 people.
The minimum group size is 6 people; smaller groups are possible at a slightly higher price. Prices start from €75 per person.

The price includes:
  • Full picnic setup and cleanup service — you don’t have to lift a finger
  • All picnic inventory: tableware, glassware, table linens, and decorations
  • In winter: warm wool blankets and seat pads, and of course a campfire to keep you cozy 🙂
  • In summer: tables and chairs, and fresh flowers
  • Food and drinks!
Winter menu includes: a campfire pot meal, fire-baked bread, hot tea or mulled wine, craft lemonade, and dessert — for example, spruce tip panna cotta.
Summer menu includes: a fresh salad, two different appetizers, a baked savory pie, craft lemonade, coffee and tea, and something sweet — such as a cake decorated with fruits and flowers.

Good to know!

  • Picnics can be booked only on weekends, either Saturday or Sunday, and must be reserved at least one week in advance.
  • The duration of a picnic is up to 2 hours in winter and up to 3 hours in summer.
  • Please note that in winter, access may be limited due to snow, and not all locations are suitable for hosting a picnic.
  • In collaboration with Seikle Vabaks tour guide, I also offer light catering alongside guided nature hikes. In winter, you’ll be welcomed with a campfire and a warm soup after the hike; in summer, a refreshing craft lemonade and fresh bites await. This wonderfully relaxed hike-and-dine package is perfect for families, groups of friends, birthday celebrations, or teams looking to create memorable shared experiences.
